After years of ballet took its toll on my body, I turned to yoga as an alternate means of staying fit. What I discovered was so much more than the physicality that ballet had brought to my life. Mostly, I relished in the fact that when practicing yoga, my mind quieted and a transformation took place beyond the physical.
I have practiced different styles of yoga for 20 years including vinyasa flow, Bikram, power, restorative, and yin yoga in search of the practice that most appeals to me. I learned that there isn’t one perfect variety. Just as each day is different and each person has different needs, such is the truth behind yoga.
When teaching yoga, I cultivate an awareness and presence of mind to offer the style that suits the person and the moment.
I received my 200-hour teacher certification from CorePower Yoga with a focus on Hot Power Fusion.
